How to use this tool

  1. Click the box and select the PDF. Thumbnails of every page appear.
  2. Use ← and → to move a page (on a computer you can also drag a card), ↺ and ↻ to rotate it, and ✕ to delete it.
  3. “Rotate all”, “Reverse order” and “Reset” act on the whole document.
  4. Press “Save PDF” to download the new file.

Worked example

Say a 6-page scan has page 3 upside down, a blank page 5, and an attachment on page 6 that belongs right after page 1. Rotate page 3 twice with ↻, delete page 5 with ✕, move the last page to position 2 with the arrows, and press “Save PDF”: you get a 5-page file in the order you see on screen.

Methodology

Two open-source libraries share the work, both served from this site: pdf.js (version 3.11.174) draws the small previews, and pdf-lib (version 1.17.1) builds the new file by copying your original pages in the order you chose. Nothing is sent to a server.

Previews and the saved file: The thumbnails are pictures drawn only to help you choose. The saved PDF is made by copying the original pages, so text stays selectable and images are not recompressed. Bookmarks, document-level outlines and some interactive form fields may not carry over.
Rotation and order: Rotating adds to the rotation a page already has, so the preview shows what a PDF viewer will show. Moving or deleting a card only changes which pages are copied and in what order; your original file is never modified.

Page-organizing surprises, and what happens in each

Most surprises come from expecting the tool to edit the original. Here is what it actually does.

  • Deleting a page by mistake. Nothing is deleted from your file; pages you remove only stay out of the new one. “Reset” brings every page back, in the original order and without rotation.
  • Expecting changes inside the same file. The tool always creates a new download named after your PDF with “-organized”. Keep the original until you have checked the result.
  • Previews look small or rough. They are small on purpose so large documents load quickly. The saved file keeps the full quality of the original pages.
  • A very long document. Previews are drawn one by one and the log says when they are ready; the buttons unlock once all pages are loaded. Documents with hundreds of pages need patience on a phone.
  • A password-protected PDF. It cannot be opened here, and the log says so. Unlock it first with the program that protected it.

Frequently asked questions

Is this PDF page organizer really free and unlimited? ▼

Yes. There is no account, daily limit, watermark or page cap set by us. The practical limit is your device's memory, which matters mainly for documents with hundreds of pages.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server? ▼

No. The file is read inside your browser tab, the previews are drawn there, and the new PDF is created on your device. The page only downloads its own scripts.

Will rotating or moving pages reduce the quality? ▼

No. Pages are copied, not re-rendered: text stays selectable, images are not recompressed and the layout is untouched. Only the page order and the rotation flag change.

How do I reorder pages on a phone? ▼

Use the ← and → buttons under each page. Dragging cards works with a mouse on a computer, but touch screens do not support it reliably, so the arrows are the dependable way.
