How to use it
- Choose a weekly planner (one page per week) or a monthly habit tracker.
- For the planner, pick the first week, the number of weeks and the first day of the week, and tick the sections you want. For the tracker, pick the month and year.
- Type your habits, one per line, and an optional title. Pick A4 or US Letter.
- Check the summary and press Download PDF, then print it.
Example
Four weekly pages starting on a Monday, with the three default habits and a notes box, give you four portrait A4 pages, each with a box for every day, three priority lines, a notes box and a grid where each habit has seven squares to tick. Switching to the monthly habit tracker for a 31-day month gives one landscape page with a row per habit and 31 columns, with the weekends shaded.
Methodology
The dates. The browser takes the date you choose, moves back to the first day of that week (Sunday or Monday, as you choose) and adds seven days for each further page. Month lengths, including leap years, come from the browser’s own calendar. Weekday and month names are written in the language of the page. The PDF. Each page is drawn with the open-source pdf-lib library (served from this site) using the standard Helvetica fonts, so the text prints sharply. Those fonts cover Western European letters only, so other characters in your habits are left out and the page tells you when that happens.
Getting the Most From a Printed Planner
- A short list. The sheet fits up to 12 habits, but a list of three to five is easier to fill in every day. This is a practical suggestion, not a rule.
- One page to start. Print one week or one month first to see if the layout suits you before printing a stack.
- Weekly or monthly. The weekly pages have room to write; the monthly tracker gives a whole month at a glance with one square per habit per day.
- Names that fit. Habit names longer than the column are cut off with three dots, so keep them short.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the weekly planner and the habit tracker? ▼
The weekly planner makes one page per week with a box for each day, priorities, notes and a seven-day habit grid. The habit tracker makes one landscape page for a month, with one row per habit and one square per day.
How many weeks can I print? ▼
Up to 12 weekly pages in one file. The first page starts on the first day of the week that contains the date you choose.
Can I use my own habits? ▼
Yes. Type one habit per line, up to 12. Names are cut at 40 characters, and characters the standard PDF fonts cannot print are left out.
Can I write in languages with other alphabets? ▼
Not in the PDF. It uses standard fonts that cover Western European letters only, so characters outside that set are dropped. The page tells you when this happens.
Which paper sizes are supported? ▼
A4 and US Letter. The planner is portrait and the tracker is landscape.
Is anything uploaded or saved? ▼
No. The PDF is built in your browser and saved on your device. Your habits and title are not stored or sent to a server.
